A big thank you to a Latte' with Ott A. for giving me this lovely award!  I enjoyed reading her tag-team blogging with From Mess hall to Bistro last week as they shared several canning tips, techniques, and recipes.  Thanks girls for showing that canning is not just for grandmas!

Now it's my turn, again, to share the love and introduce my readers to some great bloggers and their words.  I still love my seven who I mentioned last week, but I am going to try and spread the love around some more with my next picks!

I want to give a shout out to my farm sisters who are doing a great job of spreading the stories about farm life to those who haven't been to the farm for a while! In no particular order, they are:

Going Jane- Ohio rodeo gal, great mom, and all-around smart cookie!
Prairie Mother- former Indiana farm girl who is now living the life of Dorothy in Kansas
On the Banks of Squaw Creek-Iowa farm girl/teacher/mom/expecting another who loves to teach and scrapbook too!
Frugalistic Farm Life-another farm girl/expecting mom from Indiana who loves to make money go as far as it can!
Alarm Clock Wars-Indiana born Purdue grad who loves everything about farming except for maybe the early hours! ;-)
Gal in the Middle-Indiana AG girl who is always cracking me up!
From My Front Porch-another Indiana farm girl raising kids, livestock, and grain with her husband.

It's just about time for harvest, so may of us will have full plates for the next month or so.  Stay tuned to my blog and the stories these lovely ladies will tell you about how we make food for others to eat!

Thanks again Miss A!

Have a great weekend everyone, and for those sharing the roads with farmers, be careful out there and use a bit of patience when encountering each other!

  3. Congratulations on your new award - you really do spread sunshine!

As for gathering Queen Anne's Lace seed and planting it in your garden - resist the urge!!! I cannot control it. My lovely rose border turned into a queen anne's lace border where a few roses peek out. We have it in the grass, the veg garden, everywhere! It is by far the most aggressive plant I have ever dealt with. That being said, it is beautiful. But along the roadside, NOT in the garden!
