Walking with Some Favorites

One of my favorite people in the world sent me this fun activity on Facebook, and I thought I would share it with you to see what answers you have.  I've left off a few, but that's half the fun of seeing others' lists and thinking "Oh! Yeah!  I LOVE ____________"

Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen authors (poets, and screen-writers included) who've influenced you and who will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes.

1.)  William Shakespeare
2.)  Barbara Kingsolver
3.)  Nathaniel Hawthorne
4.)  Mark Twain
5.)  Maya Angelou
6.)  E. B. White
7.)  C.S. Lewis
8.)  Dr. Seuss
9.)  Henry David Thoreau
10.)  Harper Lee
11.)  F. Scott Fitzgerald
12.)  e.e. cummings
13.)  Margaret Mitchell
14.)  J.K. Rowling
15.)  Michael Shaara

  6. Not fair you taught English. I can think of one, Shel Silverstein. Ok, maybe Nicholas Sparks, and John Maxwell. OK, I am done now!
